Internships

ASHP/CML provides internships for students to learn while working with us on projects related to history and public history, social studies education, and digital media. Although our internships are typically unpaid, we are happy to work with students who are seeking academic credit and, when possible, to help students tailor their internship to meet their professional development goals.

What does an ASHP/CML internship entail?

Interns may assist in research and production of our educational materials or in preparing for faculty and curriculum development programs. We cannot provide pay, but we encourage and support internships for class credit. During the summer, we ask that interns commit to working at least 20 hours a week for 2 – 8 weeks. May, June, and July are the best months for summer internships, but there is flexibility. Interested students should contact Donna Thompson Ray.
