Public Seminars

Each year ASHP/CML hosts public and professional events to focus on particular history-related issues and trends.  Over the last few years our public seminars have focused on the American Civil War, CUNY history, and teaching and learning new scholarship in Latino history and culture.

Still Hazy After All These Years - a series of three public seminars examining recent trends in the study of the American Civil War.

Saving CUNY's Past - a discussion on the history of activism at CUNY, and the forthcoming digital repository, CUNY Digital History Archive (CDHA), organized to collect archival materials related to the history of the City University of New York.

Bridging Historias Conference - the culminating event of a three-year faculty development program addressing the increasingly influential body of scholarship on the importance of Latino/a culture in American history.
