American Social History Project • Center for Media and Learning

The American Social History Project/Center for Media and Learning provides internships for students interested in history, social studies education, and digital media. We also offer internships for students with various technical skills (e.g., web programming, Final Cut Pro, Pro-Tools). Interns may assist in research and production of our educational materials (DVDs and websites) or in preparing for the many professional development programs we run for New York City high school and middle school teachers.

We cannot provide pay, but we encourage and support internships for class credit. During the summer, we ask that interns commit to working at least 20 hours a week for 2 – 8 weeks. May, June, and July are the best months for summer internships, but there is some flexibility.
