Privacy Policy

The American Social History Project / Center for Media and Learning will occasionally request information from users for record keeping, user testing, or additional services. We will never redistribute your e-mail address to any third party.  We will never send you solicitations nor any messages not affiliated with ASHP/CML. If you are subscribed to our newsletter, you may unsubscribe at anytime by sending an e-mail to cml@gc.cuny.edu with the word “unsubscribe” in the header.

When you visit our site we use Google Analytics and WordPress Stats to track use. We do not collect any uniquely identifying information about your session, and information about your session is aggregated but not associated with one another. (For example, we may know one person clicked on this privacy policy page, and one person used Firefox, but we will not know if the person who clicked on this privacy policy page was also using firefox). Data is stored anonymously and is only going to be used for improving site performance. Occasionally we may ask for more detailed user experience information in the form of a user survey. We also may use SurveyMonkey at times, which also anonymously associates data with a user. Once again, we cannot identify individual users’ names with their responses unless explicitly stated in the top of the survey that we will be collecting such information.  If you have any questions about a SurveyMonkey survey posted on our site, please examine their privacy policy clearly linked at the bottom of each survey.

If you have any questions or concerns about this privacy policy, please use the contact form at the bottom of the site.

Updates to this policy will be posted on this page as they are made.
